Services

We have a number of services to help improve air extraction and prevent risk of a fire due to a build-up of grease, oil and fat deposits throughout the extraction system.

We clean extraction systems to a high standard by hand, using the latest and most effective chemicals and tools in the industry.

We take before and after photos of all the work carried out, these are kept for our own records and emailed over to our clients with certification after completion.

Our engineer will fill out a on-site report which will need to be signed by a member of staff on the day, a carbon copy will be left with the staff member, this will later be processed into a written report with before and after photos, along with a certificate for insurance purposes will be emailed over to our client.

Full Extraction Clean

Includes cleaning of canopy, all accessible ducting, extraction fan, report, any filer recommendations, photos and certificate via email.

All our cleaning is to the TR19 regulation standards that was defined by BESA, as a way to standardise duct and kitchen extract cleaning systems. Developed in 1988, it has become the standard to which most insurers and building engineering service sectors as the standard to match when performing ductwork cleaning operations.

Cleaning Processes: TR19 also specifies cleaning processes to be used when cleaning ductwork systems. Some of the necessary cleaning processes are:
• Hand Wipe: Manually wiping the surface of the ductwork system.
• Hand Scrape: Manually scraping heavy deposits off of ductwork surfaces.
• Chemicals: Using chemicals to soften or dissolve deposits, making it possible to scrape it.

TR19 also recommends regular cleaning of the ductwork systems, depending upon their frequency of use.
While multiple specialist inspections and cleanings must be done to gauge a more accurate cleaning frequency, the recommended cleaning intervals are given below.
• Heavy use (12-16 hours a day): 3 months
• Moderate use (6-12 hours a day): 6 months
• Light use (2-6 hours a day): 12 months

We aim to complete our work with the least amount of disruption to our clients as possible generally working g early mornings, several hours prior to store opening and leaving any areas we have worked around are cleaned thoroughly.

We can send one of our professional trained electrical engineers to come and resolve any problems with your extraction or supply fan, whether it's an electrical fault, or a new fan is needed, we aim to have you back up and running within the shortest time frame possible!

Inspection Hatches

All ducting needs to be accessible so that we can ensure every part is free from grease, oil and fats building up to prevent the risk of a fire, which then enables us to produce a pass certification.

We carry a range of inspection hatches for our qualified engineers to install, for round or square ducting in a variety of different sizes to suit your needs.

Extraction and Supply System Filters

At S and P we offer a wide variety of replacement filters for our clients, that our engineer will happily fit.

Extraction and supply systems have a range of different filters serving slightly different purposes. Any of these being blocked or broken can stop/slow the extraction/supply system air flow efficiency, in and out of the kitchen area, resulting in build-up of dangerous/ toxic gasses, heat and grease, which can be harmful to employees or result in extraction or supply fans breaking.

It is very important that any filtration system is maintained and replaced when needed.

One of our engineers will make any recommendations about filters to our client or on our cleaning report,,,

Filters we can provide:

• Baffle Grease Filters (for canopy)
• Pleated Panel or Synthetic Panel Filters (for supply)
• Synthetic Pocket Filers (extraction ducting)
• Mesh Pre Filters (canopy or extraction ducting)
• Carbon Filters (extraction ducting)
